Why did SMC Euroclamp design and develop a trackway handling atttachment?
Previously installers were only able to handle 1 panel at a time using lifting chains, a method that was unsafe and time consuming
The challenge we were given by one of the main players in the Trackway industry was to design a replacement that was the opposite of using chains- i.e. it needed to be safe to use and able to handle more than 1 panel at a time
The result was the SMC Euroclamp S15CRZ-1 Trackway clamp, designed to be mounted to a lorry mounted crane and foldable to provide a compact storage solution when being transported
A further challenge was given when the industry required a large number of panels to be installed as not every lorry has a crane, and economically it made sense to deliver using flat bed lorries.

Our Solution
The solution to this conundrum is the SMC Euroclamp S15CRZ-2 Trackway Clamp, similar to the S15CRZ-1 but with the option of being fork mounted and used with Rough Terrain Forklifts and Telehandlers or directly mounted on to a Wheeled Excavator. This model is supplied with a stand for storage when the clamp is not in use.
